"Face to face conversations are the most meaningful. However, we can build the trust that makes conversations easier by sending a simple message. It's the small things we do each day that build and sustain the trust which is the foundation for healthy relationships." - Sam Thorogood

Last year one of my children called sobbing down the phone. In social situations she’d realised she holds so much of her true self in because she’s not sure what she has to say is worth saying. It was heart breaking to hear this but a vital insight for her.
She’d decided to call me after receiving a simple text message I’d sent her that morning “Hope you are ok, call me if you need anything, love you very much x”. This message gave her the confidence to give me a call and tell me how she was really feeling.
